_TARAS Paste-Up_
Nel panorama artistico contemporaneo, la street art si
afferma come forma espressiva che sfida le convenzioni e porta l'arte nei
luoghi più inaspettati.
Il progetto "TARAS Paste-Up” è una iniziativa
innovativa per il territorio ed orizzontale nelle sue modalità rivolta a tutti
gli artisti che vorranno esprimere la loro creatività attraverso lo strumento
del poster.
A seguire i dettagli e le modalità di partecipazione al progetto.
Il "TARAS Paste-Up" è il primo evento di “Poster
Art” attraverso un open call dedicata all’antichissima città di Taranto
attraverso la poster art, per sua natura effimera ed indipendente come tutta la
street art ma non per questo meno importante ed incisiva.
Organizzato da StencilNoire in collaborazione con South
Italy Street Art, 167/Bstreet, GATA Galleria Taranto il progetto invita gli
artisti visuali che vorrano parteciparvi a contribuire con opere dedicate al
tema di Taras, Τάρας, Taranto.
Sono richiesti interventi esclusivamente su carta di
qualsiasi formato, realizzati con qualsiasi tecnica invitando i partecipanti a
sperimentare al massimo la loro creatività e libertà.
Per partecipare al "TARAS Paste-Up", gli artisti
devono inviare i propri poster all'indirizzo specificato, entro il 10 luglio
2025. L'evento prenderà forma nel mese di Agosto 2025 con data ancora da
destinarsi in una mostra collettiva presso il GATA Galleria Taranto, spazio
espositivo di riferimento per la scena street locale e non soltanto, sita nel
Borgo Antico di Taranto.
La mostra sarà l’occasione per celebrare il 16° anniversario
della nascita della piattaforma artistica “South Italy Street Art”.
Il progetto "TARAS Paste-Up" sarà un momento di massima espressione della creatività individuale
volta a trasformare anche gli spazi urbani di Taranto in gallerie a cielo aperto non limitandosi solo allo spazio museale del Gata. L’iniziativa punta a vivere l'arte come un mezzo per riqualificare e valorizzare il territorio e la contaminazione artistica come un'opportunità per stimolare il dialogo e la riflessione con il territorio in tutte le sue sfaccettature.
Ci piace immaginare il "TARAS Paste-Up" come un
momento per la promozione dell'arte contemporanea e per la valorizzazione del
patrimonio culturale di Taranto ma soprattutto come un invito per tutti noi a
guardare e vivere le strade con occhi nuovi ed ispirare nuove visioni negli
spazi pubblici.

The project

The 'TARAS
Paste-Up' is the first 'Poster Art' event featuring an open call dedicated to
the ancient city of Taranto. Poster art, by its nature, is ephemeral and
independent like all street art, yet it is no less important and impactful.
Organized
by StencilNoire in collaboration with South Italy Street Art, 167/Bstreet, GATA
Galleria Taranto, the project invites visual artists who wish to participate to
contribute with works dedicated to the theme of Taras, Τάρας, Taranto.
Works must
be exclusively on paper of any format and can be created using any technique.
Participants are encouraged to experiment with their creativity and express
themselves freely.
To
participate in the 'TARAS Paste-Up,' artists must send their posters to the
specified address by July 10, 2025. The event will take shape in August 2025,
with a date to be confirmed for a collective exhibition at the GATA Galleria
Taranto. This venue is a key exhibition space for the local street art scene
and beyond, located in the Borgo Antico of Taranto. The exhibition will also
serve as an opportunity to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the artistic
platform 'South Italy Street Art.'
The 'TARAS
Paste-Up' project will serve as a powerful expression of individual creativity,
transforming the urban spaces of Taranto into open-air galleries that extend
beyond the GATA museum space. This initiative seeks to use art as a tool for
redeveloping and enhancing the territory, promoting artistic exchange as an
opportunity to stimulate dialogue and reflection on the community in all its
facets.
We envision
the 'TARAS Paste-Up' as an opportunity to promote contemporary art and valorize
Taranto's cultural heritage. Above all, it serves as an invitation for everyone
to see and experience the streets with fresh perspectives, inspiring new
visions in public spaces.

for the “TARAS Paste-Up” project in the coming months for organizational
purposes.
